My brother Dave and I were tour guides at the Cave in 70,71,72.
For some reason, I googled the Cave and was amazed at the changes over the years. I left Colorado in 1973 and have not been back. However, a trip is planne dfor this summer and I will certainly make the tour of Cave of the Winos. |

We opted to take the 'Lantern' tour...our guide was Erin...he was very knowledgeable and made the tour informative & fun. Though we were a bit tired from the rugged terrain and small passages we highly recommend it.
Would like to do it again! |

It was beautiful, exciting and breath taking. If you go which is a must ask for our favorite tour guides, and have the the best of times. |

My husband Marty and I wanted our Fall wedding to be a unique and fun filled experience for the wedding party and guest a like, so we choose to hold the ceremony at the Cave of the Winds on October 4th, and could not be happier with the outcome. The staff was incredible, the cave beautiful, and the memories of our fairytale day etched in everyone’s minds for years to come. Many thanks go out to the Cave of the Winds staff for making our wedding day so awesome! We could not have asked for more! |

My first to Cave of the Winds tour was in 1973 or 1974 with my parents, brother and sister, and my uncle and grandmother from North Carolina. We have a photo that is taken at the start of the tour,it's black and white! I'm sure today they're in color. In 1991 was my second trip with my then girlfriend, now my wife of 16 years. We enjoyed the caves and look forward to a future trip with our two children.I've also been to caves just outside St. Louis and in southern Missouri, but I'll say that Cave of the Winds are my favorite by far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

This was our 1st time in a cave. It was very exciting. The cave was nice and cool when it was hot out side. I cannot think of a single favorite part of the cave, I liked all of it! Though the part when they turn off all the lights is fun.

My girlfriend and Mother visited the Cave of the Winds on Tuesday August 12th, 2008. It was one of the first things we did on our visit to Colorado.
It was very cool, literally. 54 degrees is what we were told was the temperature in the caves. There were some very interesting areas in the cave. I must say, my personal favorite was the point where we were all exposed to "Complete Darkness" for a few moments. You will never experience that kind of darkness ever again. It was very cool.
I would recommend that any family or couple taking a trip to the Colorado Springs area should visit the Cave of the Winds. Dollar for dollar, it's a pretty good value compared to some other tourist attractions.
I would go back!!! |

I visited Cave Of The Winds in 1978. I particularly liked the story of the electrician who knocked down a stalagtite and was killed. As the story goes he tried to reach up and break another. I saw a stalagmite that looked like an arm and hand. Also a place where people put hair ties and barrets....its been 30 years....I would love to go back. |

The people I work with are absolutely wonderful- they're all so spirited and fun! The cave is full of history and the Discovery Tour is a fantastic way to learn a bit about geology! I loved the cave when I was a little girl, and I love it now as a resident tour guide! |

...WOW... That's all I have to say... My mom was very interested in visiting a cave so this was mainly for her...I just came along not knowing what to expect. It frightened me at first knowing that we only had one "lighting tool" to use.... it turned out to be my most memorable experience in Colorado. The whole scenary was absolutely beautiful and out tour guide, Rich, was amazing... He made the whole tour a very fun and comforting experience.... Thank you so much... Hope to come and visit this place again... :D I definatelly recomend this to anyone who has never been to a cave or the mountains before! :D |
